- provides individual, group and family counselling
- offers specialized services for adolescents
- offers programs designed to increase understanding and awareness of issues related to alcohol, tobacco, other drugs and gambling
- employs and teaches strategies focused on increasing clients’ ability to successfully handle life situations
- creates partnerships with local groups, agencies, schools and employers to support projects aimed at mobilizing communities to prevent and address alcohol, tobacco, other drug and gambling issues
- provides training and consultation to agencies, businesses, community groups and professionals
- distributes educational materials such as pamphlets, books, and videos. These resources address a wide range of topics related to preventing and treating alcohol, tobacco, other drug and gambling problems
- offers program packages developed by AADAC to assist schools, agencies, employers and other groups
Referral Information
- Area offices receive referrals from a variety of sources, including clients themselves.
- Referrals are made to a variety of AADAC services, AADAC Funded Agencies, other government and non-government agencies, medical professionals and self-help groups.

- On-site services are available to schools in the county and city of Wetaskiwin.
- Services are voluntary, confidential and free of charge.
